Can someone pls explain what this means "Then there's the exemplary on-road dynamics (unfortunately, they're not shared by the R1T's shorter-wheelbase SUV counterpart, the R1S, which is part of the reason it's not on the list)."? I have an R1S on order. What is on-road dynamics and should I be concerned it's not on R1S?

I'm curious too.. not sure if this is it but I have seen some reviews that say R1S ride quality is not as good; oversteering tendency, bumpier ride, more audible road noise etc. I am hoping this isn't a common experience for a majority of R1S owners. Now I really feel like I have to test drive first.

Regarding the concerns of handling of the R1S, The R1S is taking a hit on driving dynamics, with some of the reviewers saying it does not handle as well as the R1T. That said, I have to think that Rivian can dial this in with OTA updates. Air suspension controlled by software is the ticket. I would not freak out.

But wait....Edmunds touted the F150L as God's Greatest Gift to EV Trucks.....How could that have missed the C and D Top 10 List??? Hmmmmmm? Probably because it ain't all that great.

C&D felt the poorer handling and less compliance was due to the shorter wheelbase of the R1S versus the R1T, and they also made mention of more motor noise noticeable in the rear of the R1S iirc.

They also loved the Lightning. Ford gutted a gas truck and stuffed EV tech in it. It's a hot mess. Unfortunately. Don't let articles sway you. Go test drive one!

That may be true, but vehicles generally have to be on sale by January of the previous year before they can qualify for the C&D 10 best list. Deliveries didn't start until May for the F150L. It applied to the car list, but I don't know if that also applies to the truck and SUV lists.
