I don't invest outside of my RRSP and Pension Plan through work. I'm guessing the US residency requirement to participate in the DSP might be some investment rule and not necessarily Rivian freezing out its few Canadian first adopters but I'm still really bummed :cry:

Blame the underwriters / plan administrators. They iced you out, as Rivian is not controlling the DSP
Not sure you can blame anyone, I do not think there was a decision to be made based on the information provided.

The requirement for someone living in the US or a US territory appears to be a regulation. I think it is based on where the US brokers are registered and they just are not registered in all of the Canadian security administrations.
