Love my crossbars, but a disclaimer should be made when these are mounted on the bed. There is no "headache bar". Anyone who put pipe or 2x4s etc on these could get impaled through neck or head shoudl there be a collision. Nothing to stop them but rear windows glass and headrest.

Be careful what you carry. If you carry pipe, mount these on the roof.

I replied in your other post. But I don't get why a Rivian would specifically need a disclaimer. I have never owned a truck that came with such a 'headache bar' that would make Rivian such the exception. Any of my trucks would have this exact same possibility if I mounted pipes on the rack of the bed.

Every rack I have ever had was above the passenger compartment. These put stuff right at driver level
