I downloaded the new software yesterday that contains pet mode. Today I put the truck in car wash mode, exited to spray it off, and now I can't get back in. Rivian is working on a fix. But for now, I wouldn't do it if I were you!

OK, dumb me. When in car wash mode the R1T would still unlock, but didn't flare the door handles. It didn't occur to me until now (after trying to get in through the gear tunnel) that I should try pressing the handle. Then it flipped out and I could open the door.

Yep. That's all you have to do.

It might be a good idea if Rivian added an informational dialog after enabling car wash mode explaining that.

Don’t feel bad I had to call rivian to ask how to get back in the car after washing it and they told me to pull the handle! I didn’t know you could push the indentation.

Another option is to double press and hold the unlock button on the fob - this rolls down all the windows and then you can reach in and open the door from the inside

happened to me yesterday.... and with my phone inside.... figure out to press the handle.. but it did scare me.....

Be nice if they made the handles flush as an option in settings while unlocked instead of sticking out.

Guess i could just always enable car wash mode at home...
