Normally when you're towing a heavy load with a non-electric pickup you can use stuff like engine braking to help reduce the stress on the brakes when you're going downhill. But what's the equivalent of that for Rivian and other EVs? Is it purely regenerative braking that will do that? Or is there something else that Rivian is doing to help with that?

In this video the TFL Guys are testing the Model X and showing the regen braking on a long downhill. The downhill part starts at 11:56 or so, and, spoiler warning, they don't touch the brakes at all on the downhill.

That's good to know. Hopefully it's the same with the R1S and R1T.
