We will be staying with friends in Cleveland next month.
His dryer receptacle is the one with the L shape top prong and our plug fits the one with three straight lugs
Can we install a different plug on our cord to accommodate his receptacle?
Thanks

Yes, NEMA 10-30P to 14-50R adapters are easy to find. However, you must limit your charging to 24A in the R1T infotainment screen. If you don't do that, the Rivian portable EVSE will try to pull too much current from the outlet.

The Rivian portable EVSE does up to 32A charging at 240V... Which is ~16 miles per hour.

However, plugging into a 30A circuit means you can draw no more than 24A, which would be ~12 miles per hour. No EVSE can charge an R1T faster than that on a 30A circuit.
