So far I have 4k miles on my R1T and it has been to the service center twice for this issue. I am wondering if others are having this same issue?

When travelling +70 MPH, the front hood (frunk) flexes in one particular spot. The service center tried to fix it with adhesive, but it still flexes.

I'm worried about the flexing weakening the hood over time and eventually rusting. I also want to get PPF applied on the hood, but not if the hood will need to be replaced.

I'm taking it to the service center for the third time on Friday.

Anyone else having this issue?

When I mention it to service, they say it shouldn't happen.

I have never seen it happen on any other car. Didn't happen on my SUV, minivan, or other cars.

Are other people seeing it?

I noticed a bit of flex on the hood at highway speed (75+) with a strong headwind. However, it was nowhere near as significant as what you have pictured

Yes, I see some flex at higher speeds too, but never thought much of it - probably not as bad as what you are experiencing. If any flex can cause longer term issues (?), then I will create a ticket.

Has anyone else seen the issue? I had the Expel coating put on the hood and it’s slightly decreased the flex as well.

I don’t think it’s bad enough to be causing any weakening in the skin anymore so now it’s just irritating, but I can live with it
