This Rivian R1S does well at getting through this rough terrain, much better than I thought it would.

Almost certainly stock. They are testing the truck, and therefore would want it configured like what a customer would buy.Wow! this is awesome! I wonder if those are any special tires? OR the stock set they are offering as options in the current ordering process.
Land Rover and Range Rover both do similar testing, all with models configured as regular versions. Even Toyota. It's sort of expected of off-road and adventure vehicle companies to do this level of testing.Wow! this is awesome! I wonder if those are any special tires? @eHauler , i agree, but i am also familiar of the marketing practices most other auto-manufacturers adopt. They show the most fanciest options and stuff that you cannot normally figure within the advertised price ranges.Land Rover and Range Rover both do similar testing, all with models configured as regular versions. That is very true. Which Rivian model and spec are you getting?@eHauler , i agree, but i am also familiar of the marketing practices most other auto-manufacturers adopt. They show the most fanciest options and stuff that you cannot normally figure within the advertised price ranges.
@eHauler , we are shooting for R1S, LE, pre-order is Nov 2020, so i am sure our actual delivery is going to way later in 2022. I had this experience on my BMW X1 purchase back in 2017. Found the vehicle really awesome based on the promos and there were so many features shown in. When i walked over to the dealership to check it out, i was super disappointed because much of the promo material was to be "available" and not "standard" in what was the highest price model they had available in the dealership. That is very true. Which Rivian model and spec are you getting?
Did you go through that experience with any vehicle purchases of your own?
I'm really curious how it felt in the R1T when they took that jump. For such a heavy truck that suspension is doing some heavy lifting. Here are some more new off-road videos of an R1T.
