I'm not sure how much this may mean to the rest of you here but I really love the fact that Rivian will be manufactured in the United States. As someone who has had family members and friends work on the assembly line for places like Chrysler and Ford, it can be tough seeing them deal with all the ups and downs and this means a lot.
They could've easily moved their manufacturing elsewhere like other companies have done, but to transform a former Mitsubishi plant in Normal, Illinois to their new plant is incredible to see. Hopefully this inspires other companies to do the same.
