Ever since getting my R1T my MyQ garage door system throws errors and I have to rest the sensor on the door. I've changed the battery in the sensor on the door and unplugged the actual device to hard reset it. I'm wondering if the truck being in the garage is disrupting the communication of the MyQ system. Anyone else having this issue and it completely kills the use of MyQ as it can't determine the state of the garage door.

no issues here works perfectly. What are the errors you are getting. When my craftsman garage door opener went, it started to behave weird, random openings, random alerts. Replaced the motor all normal since.

So, before going off the deep end on this I decided to backtrack. Thinking back, I didn't start having any of these "Errors" in my MyQ app before I went through the process of connecting it to SimpleCommands so that I could open/close the door using Alexa. It did end up working through Alexa, but hit and miss and honestly didn't see much value in it anyway. So, for now I've ripped out the SimpleCommands connection to MyQ and disabled it in Alexa. I'll see how MyQ operates over the next few days.... I have a sneaking suspicion that my error issue will go away as I had the truck for a solide 3 weeks before I figured out the whole SimpleCommand/Alexa set up.

I'll report back in a week or so.....

For what it’s worth, I’ve recently been having issues with MyQ that precede and, I believe, are unrelated to taking delivery of my R1S one month ago.

It’s suddenly become glitchy, much in the way you describe—error codes, necessary resets etc. — and I think I’ve pinpointed the reason. For the first two years I used it, MyQ was very reliable and problem-free. Around 3-4 months ago, it forced a mobile app update, and the problems have been regular annd increasingly irritating ever since. Included in the app update was the addition of ever-present advertising that scrolls across the top of the Home Screen. No idea if that new “feature” has anything to do with it, but updating the app definitely set off a continual chain of reliability issues for me.

I started experiencing problems with MyQ about the same time. I have tried some quick fixes but no luck. I will probably try the delete and reinstall method next but if it does not work, then I will likely trash it and move to a different product. MyQ was fine when it worked but was not so beneficial as to warrant the time, expense, and effort I have already put into it.
