Wondering if anyone having issues with their hood becoming easily dented? I park my car in our driveway under a pine tree behind a 6 foot gate and had the first dent about a month ago - assumed something dropped from the pine tree on it. 2 days ago, after heavy rains and another dent! Both damages occurred while parked. Can the hood really not withstand a couple of pine cones falling on it? Over the past 10 years this is the 5th car that gets routinely parked under it, and none other have been damaged by pine cones.
Has anyone else had random hood damage? Could there be a manufacturing defect in the hood?

I’ve noticed it is easily dented being made of lightweight aluminum. It is very expensive to repair dents since the doors are sealed so no water gets in. Also dents near tailgate at corner are also very hard to get to and a lot of the back end needs to be removed just to be able to access the dents.
