Curious if anyone else got “good” news in the update email?

Our window went from Jan-Dec 2024 to Jan-June 2024.

White R1S large pack, black leather, 20” ATs ordered 1/22, location Denver.

Ordered R1S Adventure - Quad October 7, 2021. I have kept my original build and current estimated delivery window October - December 2023. Delivery to be in Maryland. Communication from Rivian has been less than desired and the wait is brutal especially when I see other R1S/R1T on the road.
We ordered Feb 2020 and got a window including March 2023. Your timeline isn’t that bad.
In 7 Days (next Sunday 04/30/2023), we all get updated delivery estimated windows!
I'm going into hibernation until them. Please wake me up then.
I placed my preorder in August 2020, and finally some good news!!! SO exciting!

Same here. Something tells me we’re going to not make my current March-April 2023 estimate…

I was a March -April 2023 estimate as well. Have faith!

Ordered R1S on 3/31/22. Our previous delivery estimate as of 10/28/22 was Jan - December 2024. Our new delivery estimate as of 1/31/23 is July - September 2023.

Here in central Idaho, we are not near a service center. Not sure why we moved up so much. We've not changed our configuration since the first order, except we did add a compact spare tire a few months ago. The latest configuration shows the spare tire was removed (by Rivian), along with the roof rack cross bars. The overall price reduced accordingly. Apparently, the cross bars can now be purchased in the Gear Store, but cannot be configured.

We have no info from Rivian on removal of the spare tire. We notice our published range is reduced to 289 miles, which we understand is attributable to the A/T tires we have selected. (We always knew the A/T tires would reduce the range from 316 to something like 290.)
Wow, awesome. What configuration did you have? Also, anybody else in Northern Idaho or Eastern Washington receiving theirs anytime soon. I'm in Northern Idaho, Jan 2022 order date with a window of Jan - Dec 2024.
Ok, so part of being an early adopter they suddenly remembered I owe $7k in California tax so had to run and get a cashiers check only to find out the software update crashed the system and they don’t know how to fix it so delaying my delivery. Uggggggg

The amount of tax was something that surprised me as well!

Nice, Let us know if they offer you Dual motor and Max pack options.

I heard Rivian make you pay the Taxes before they let you take delivery. But i also heard someone said they will pay the taxes and they go their vehicle. I'm guessing the former

I am paying the taxes when I get delivery, I had to get. Cashiers check per their request since the loan was already approved with no tax. Now they just called to tell me the cars firmware no software are broken and the “engineers” are looking into it and hope to be done this week……seriously, who ever heard of a car broken the day you are to receive it. At least when I bought the 2020 Tesla model S it was three days before they had to tow it out of my garage for being flooded from the air conditioning. And I sold that car within the year after six visits to the shop………maybe I have bad luck, but my BMWs and Porsche had zero issues.

This probably won’t make you feel better. If you check other fora, you’ll see that others have issues on delivery and delivery is delayed. The manufacturer or dealer needs to make some repairs. This is especially true with new EVs. You’re an early adopter and, hopefully, it is only a week more.

My reservation continues to indicate “Processing Estimate” after four days in that status. I didn’t change anything in my configuration. Last quarter I was in this status for one day before I saw an improved timeline. Anyone else seeing this prolonged period of processing estimate?

Hold tight for another few days. I believe that they are updating everyone’s delivery estimate. Rivian intends to provide updates at the end of every January, April, July, and October. Thinking we will see something by the end of the weekend.
I had a July-September delivery window. Today, I got "the email" to start the steps. White R1S with OC interior. Ordered July, 2020. Hard to believe and in fact I'm now managing expectations as to how fast the vehicle arrives (San Diego). It seems from this board that the time gap between "the email" and delivery is all over the place.
