Curious if anyone else got “good” news in the update email?

Our window went from Jan-Dec 2024 to Jan-June 2024.

White R1S large pack, black leather, 20” ATs ordered 1/22, location Denver.

My reservation continues to indicate “Processing Estimate” after four days in that status. I didn’t change anything in my configuration. Last quarter I was in this status for one day before I saw an improved timeline. Anyone else seeing this prolonged period of processing estimate?
Same here but I believe Rivian will be updating delivery periods on Monday.
My R1S, white with OC interior, estimate improved from 1st half of 2024 to Oct-Dec 2023. Aug 2020 preorder holder, we have gone from Oct-Dec 2022, to 1st of 2023 to 1st half of 2024 to now Oct-Dec 2023. It’s still not by the end of summer that the CFO stated would happen. So, once again, Rivian says one thing that they cannot truly commit to.
mine was updated just now.. went from may-jun 2023 to processing estimate to july -aug 2023 now. ordered apr 2022
I just received the update from Rivian @ 12:20pm ET. I ordered 4/21. New delivery window of "August - September" due to config change in Feb/23, after my First Mile.
Then again, I just received this notice.

We previously told you that you could expect your delivery window estimate this April. As we continue planning the roll out of a Rivian Service Center in your area, we need more time to understand when that site will be ready to support your vehicle's delivery and ongoing service needs. For now, we're leaving your Account Page set to "Processing estimate" and plan to update your account with delivery timing during our next scheduled refresh in July.

Since I had a prior delivery window of Jan - Dec 2024, I didn't expect much. Anybody know anything about a new service center in Northern Idaho/Eaatern Washington? Boise is 6 hours away by car.
I'm glad my delivery date got pushed back. Need a few more paychecks first ...

Huge disappointment for me. Ordered R1S in Q4 of 2021. Last update said first half of 2024. Then came the CFO's comments at the BOA summit a few weeks ago. Was expecting a huge improvement in my timeframe based on the fact that I was a pre-hike customer. No change, in fact my window went to the latest possible timeframe of the previous window and sits at April to June of 2024. I suspected the CFO had misspoken, but I am still pretty angry at this point. I live in Tampa, with the Orlando service center about 1.5 hours away. Many R1Ts and even a few R1Ss on the road here, so I don't see how location would be an adverse factor for me.
Same here, just refreshed & new date Aug-Sep '23... Grrr......

Same here - got the email and had high expectations just like you for the reasons you laid out. "We’re happy to report that your delivery window estimate remains the same..." Mine is July-December 2024!

In response I will be scheduling a First Drive for next week but I'm going to be a no-show. Muhahaha! That will show them.
If my orders are any indication [anecdotal evidence usually isn't] it looks like they will be prioritizing the dual motors.

Reservation #1 (August 2021): R1S; Adventure Package; Quad Motor; Large Pack; El Cap Granite; 22" Sport Bright - EDD stayed the same (October-December 2023).
Reservation #2 (March 2022): R1S (initially started as R1T); Adventure Package; Dual Motor; Large Pack; Midnight Black; 21" wheels - EDD: July-August 2023.

I am in San Diego, for whatever that's worth.

A little disappointed as I was hoping for the initial reservation EDD to move up slightly, but ultimately understand they have to do whatever makes better business sense.
Ugh! Seems like the updates were generally not positive as many expected they would be following the CFO's comments. My Jan 2022 reservation went from Jan-Jun 2024 to Apr-Jun 2024. I am still optimistic I will get access to the R1S Shop sooner.

Did our First Mile Drive yesterday and it absolutely reinforced our decision to purchase an R1S. Now Rivian just needs to build it!

Unrealistic to have expected Rivian to come out and address the CFO's comments head-on if they knew she made statements that they would not be able to deliver (pun intended) on? As things stand now, I feel like two mistakes were made. The first, was getting the hopes of every pre-hike reservation holder raised by making the comments in the first place. The second, was not coming out and correcting them in an equally public manner almost immediately if they knew she had misspoken. Just my two cents.

Well I changed the tires and my delivery window slipped from May-June to Aug -Sept;)
Huge improvement! The just keeps getting better. Original estimate was "after 2023." I was guessing 2033. Then I got Jan-Jun 2024. And today, I am over the moon after reading "Apr-Jun" 2024! Anyone not following my humour- I am joking. But, on a serious note-I'm ok. I know a lot of people have been waiting a lot longer than me. Cheers.

I envy your sense of humor given the situation.

I got the same slippage in months .beginning to think this is a good thing with a service center coming to San Antonio and the continued updates to the software...

I've come to the conclusion that it's better to laugh about the things you can't control than to stress about it and rob yourself of happiness. Cheers!

Just as frustrated as most... reading this forum & two other forums, seems to me most of the Pre-Mar. '22 orders got moved out so more Post-Mar. '22 orders (including 2023 orders) get access to R1Shop (and 15k-20k profit per vehicle for Rivian). I've seen 4 Yellow Compass R1s posted by others from the shop I would have gladly jumped on, but I have been declined Shop access only because I'm a pre-Mar. '22 order & not '19 or '20 order (I'm 04/21). I mentioned I was flexible was a waste of breath. Just not cool Rivian

The CFO never said that all price protected orders would be delivered by the end of the year. You guys read entirely too much click bait.

Enter the Rivian apologists.

“Perhaps the most notable announcement from the BofA summit is the news regarding the company’s premier truck offering, the R1 lineup. Foremost, Rivian remains on track to achieve profitability by the second half of 2024, motivated essentially entirely by R1 and van deliveries. Further, while McDonough did not disclose the total number of backlog orders, the company anticipates completing all of its pre-March price increase orders by mid-2023. It has a backlog extending “well into 2024” with orders from after the price increase.”

Similar reports were made by multiple other media outlets as well….so someone is not telling the truth.
