Thanks, TonyT. Yeah, an R1T. I’m looking forward to it. Many firsts for me with this thing. First EV. First pickup. It’s even my first new vehicle (I’ve always bought used). The last new-ish car I had, someone scraped into it in the parking lot the third day of ownership. I know, it’s a truck. It’s going to take a beating. But I want to protect it the best I can.

Welcome to the forum! What other EVs were you looking at before going with the R1T? Keep us posted on how your delivery timeline goes.

Thanks, eHauler. I had looked at a few other EVs, but nothing really checked all of the boxes. I could have done with another hatchback, but it seemed like the right time in life for a truck. I need good clearance for access to some property past the end of state maintenance. So that meant R1T or F150 lightning. And I think of myself as a tech person who sometimes needs a truck rather than a truck person who wants some tech. Everything I heard about the driving experience of the R1T lead me here. I’m sad that I don’t get CarPlay. (Actually, I’m just sad I don’t get Waze, everything else would just be gravy).
So far as I’m aware, everything is on time for pick up tomorrow! When I oredered in late 2022, I expected late 2023 delivery, so this moment came on much more quickly than I expected.

For the curious, I drove away from the service center with my brand new R1T today! Only when I got home did I realize that there was no state safety inspection sticker on the window. I've asked my guide about that. I was surprised to see a hole where the full-sized spare tire would go if only there were one, but I read about its absence elsewhere in this forum. I also didn't get a wristband key, either so I asked my guide about it as well. Nonetheless, it was a great ride home. A big step up from my 2001 Subaru Outback.

I was surprised 3 weeks ago when I took delivery that there was no inspection sticker or spare. Apparently, a spare is not included. I was confused also. The sticker will be sent from your state with your plates in a couple of weeks. At least that’s what happened in Texas. I’m legal now with plates and an inspection sticker. Got them two days ago. My temporary license was from Illinois. Glad you got your machine. Send pics. 👍

Does anyone know what is the current time from reservation to delivery is for R1T? It says 1-4 months on the website

I just took delivery from a Dec 31 reservation, so it was 4 months for me but that was when they were estimating 9-12 months. So while I don't know how long it would take given a reservation today, 4 months is probably on the far outside.

Hi I just added my registration info, signed up for reservation in October 2021. Was blue , original OC with light wood,max pack quadddrive, and underbody shield and 21 road tires with full spare. Put the down payment down but when they pulled back the max pack (and then OC light wood and the spare) we started a long long debate. Went back and forth cause we liked the look of the forest edge wood (but green not so much). Finally committed to configuration this week with guide. Quad, large , OC 21inch, undershield. Still processing so no date yet but excited now that we have taken the plunge

Added my June 2021 reservation. No contact from Rivian yet.
