After Rivian increased prices a lot, I thought it would be interesting to see how many are canceling their order or staying with Rivian. So make sure to add your vote to the poll!

If canceling your R1T or R1S order, comment below on what vehicle you will be getting instead.

WTF is this shit! I get raising the price for next year, or not for ones who have ordered, but come on, pre-order holders have been operating under a price assumption for years. This is such BS. Damn right I voted 'no' on this

Voted no -- if I could get the larger battery pack with dual motor, I'd be ok with it. But price jumped to $87k is a bitter pill to swallow and going for a smaller range and less power (can't do larger battery pack with dual motor...) is hard and then having it pushed back to 2024 (still a price jump if go to smaller battery on dual motor) .... Doubt they keep me. I had a late 2022 delivery window...
GM needs to call the Rivian president and say thank you. I'm sure they just received a bunch of new orders for the Silverado, which is a far more "current" looking truck, with far more capability, the potential for an 11 foot bed versus Rivian's 4 1/2 foot box. Seemed pricey at first, but, now compared to Rivian's new price point, the Silverado is a far more attractive option based on more current tech than Rivian's Tesla knock-off UI. Such a disappointment. Sold my Rivian stock too. Just can't get on board with a company that pulls this kind of crap. Pricing was adjusted just 8 months ago. So this isn't a price hike of 2018 pricing, rather is a price hike of 2021 pricing, and by a whopping 20+%. PHU Rivian!

Glad I got a Silverado reservation already :ROFLMAO:

Mine did too. 87750 to be exact. UGH. I have had an order in since Oct of 19. Great way to treat someone that has been here that long

To whom it doesn’t concern,

Your new pricing is insane. You have priced a good majority of preorders right out of ownership. You have betrayed a loyal base that has blindly supported you. Most of us haven’t even seen or driven one of your vehicles and still we believed. We supported you not only through deposits, but through social media, word of mouth, and stock purchases. You have killed all good faith in your company. How can you possibly justify this.? This is a true slap in the face. We have waited patiently through delays and postponements and still stood by hopeful. How could you betray us like this?

If original preordered price is not honored, Very sadly I will be canceling because I was at my limit. I am a healthcare worker, I’m not a suit with money to burn. With a baby on the way this was going to be our family vehicle to “Adventure” with. First time electric vehicle/ and suv owners. We shared the concept of your owner with helping the environment and at the same time enjoying and exploring the nature we are all working and trying to preserve.

This is just fucking sad. I really believed Rivian was the next great American car company for the people.

I was down for an R1T and an R1S. I’m out on both now. So much for early adopters and holding reservations. It’s pretty much been vaporware anyway. I was going to get the max pack so didn’t look like it’s ever getting produced.

So….RJ, about that plant in GA.

The one where in interviews you insisted was imperative to build out simultaneously instead of scaling up first to prove your product. Are you sure you’ll still need to do that?

This price hike is insanity! Mine went up from $74k to $91k. I can afford it, but feel betrayed by this. I understand cost increases in materials and would have been willing to pay a premium for increased costs but you can’t tell me it is costing them 22% more to build. Extremely disappointed in the company and will no longer purchase a vehicle from them.

And who know it will stop at $91k when you finally receive your vehicle.

This price increase seems unjustified. It's more than inflation. It seems more like they saw what some Ford dealers were doing with their markups and got greedy. Those of us that plopped down $1,000 with our reservations are taking a chance on this company. Rivian doesn't have a track record with the public and they are coming out the gate disrespecting the customers that are giving them a chance to prove themselves. They should at least honor the prices of reservation holders. We are the people who's deposits validated their claim the vehicles would sell before any were produced!

Do you want to know what it will be like to be a Rivian Customer? Pay attention to how we are being treated right now!

There should be a not sure option. My price increase up to $97K. I thought we were getting a pretty good deal at $83K, but after $97K + tax...not so sure. Might just keep saving for an EQG.

Just cancelled. Something stinks with this whole deal and it ain't me. I showered today! Self sabotage. The Rivian execs with morals are probably feeling pretty dirty right now, knowing what's coming. Don't know what that is, but it's something we'll all find out about sooner or later.

This is crazy! Wait 3 years and they try to push through a 20% price increase! I’ll be jumping on a new Range Rover which looks amazing. Short that Rivian stock….it’s not looking great!

If someone has a LE confirmed delivery date, I am happy to discuss reasonable $ for their slot if you are thinking of cancelling. Or even a trade back for my June-Sep non-LE slot. I just love the LE color and cant get it any other way.
Did this get mistakenly sent as an early April 1st email?
I guess the only fools are those of us who believed in Rivian.
I can afford the price increase too, but not sure I want to buy from a company that doesn't communicate, and when they do... it's so disappointing it makes one nauseous.

That makes my decision super easy. Rivian isn't on the table any more. $72k was going to be a stretch in the first place. $84k? Nope.
