Posted this in another Rivian forum so apologies if you’re reading this twice. Just looking for all feedback.

looking for some feedback, which I understand could be a bit biased as I’m asking on a Rivian forum. Lol.

I have a 21 Tesla Model S Long a range Refresh, 14700 miles, and is pretty mint. I have the ability to trade it in for exactly my payoff and grab an LA silver on black R1T adventure edition on 21 roads with just over 600 miles on it. The asking is around 100k. Id have to put down 10k and my payment due to the times and APRs through the roof, would hop up $100 a month.

im caught as I’ve been a Tesla owner for some time, as I’ve stated in prior threads I’ve owned 4. I love the tech, etc. I never use FSD though. The yoke isn’t an issue, as I actually like it. I don’t travel often in my vehicle so the charging network wouldn’t hurt me too bad. My wife has a Model Y as well for traveling when we do. Ingress and egress would be much better in the R1T as well.

What would some of you prior or present Tesla owners due if you could make this happen as well? Interested in feedback.

If you prefer driving a truck over driving a car I would do it.
I drive a lot of different vehicles always prefer driving a truck over a car because getting in and out (like you mentioned), you can 'see ahead further in traffic' and have the ability to haul stuff (either towing or in the box).
I share a plaid and a R1T and the main advantages of the Tesla is the supercharging and the FSD (the driver + on the RIvian isn't bad but it is a lot more limited as to where it can be used) and from what you say these are not important.
The RIvian 'tech' is pretty close to Tesla considering this is their first try

Ive never owned a vehicle as large as the R1T. Closest was an equinox. 😂 I did have a Model Y and my wife has one as well. I love that in and out compared to the S. That’s for sure,
