I recently came across this Rivian R1T with a couple of mountain bikes mounted out back and thought it would be great to see what everyone's setup is like.
None really, except you would miss out on some storage under the covered tonneau if you are going somewhere. Might also want to do PPF on the tailgate since the pad will collect road grime. Is there any issue throwing it over the tailgate?
bed length…sensors on tail gate, etc?
The North shore has the solution. My 1up also folded down, although not as much as this oneI am seriously considering these 2 different racks from Rocky Mounts (Backstage & to soon to be released After Party), both are hitch mount, 2 bike, and come standard with the swing away feature since the tailgate cannot be accessed with anyone's rack in place when bikes are installed.

I really wished the other manufactures had a tilt position that would accommodate this but with the R1T's gooseneck tailgate hinge I don't see this ever working. In addition I have already heard of a few that have accidentally opened the gate into their racks causing damage, I'd cry...
85% of the time I haul 1 of my bikes, SS w/Lefty (front wheel needs to stay on), Gravel, & Road Bike
The other 15% of my time its 2 bikes, usually a shore weekend with ride options so I take the best 2 weapons for the weekend, haha.
Wow, would be surprised in 1up or Quickrstuff didn't take issue with the design of the after party. Almost a complete knock-off. I have a 1up now, but really don't want it hanging off the hitch all the time and the constant beeping from parking sensors, etc. Wondering if the Rocky Mounts Tomahawk would allow for real-sized MTBs over the bed? I know the Yakima has clearance issues with the back glass but I don't think the Tomahawk would have the same issue?I am seriously considering these 2 different racks from Rocky Mounts (Backstage & to soon to be released After Party), both are hitch mount, 2 bike, and come standard with the swing away feature since the tailgate cannot be accessed with anyone's rack in place when bikes are installed.

Using Yakima high speed fork mounts on Rivian cross bars. Works great.I recently came across this Rivian R1T with a couple of mountain bikes mounted out back and thought it would be great to see what everyone's setup is like.

Can you get a second bike on there? The fit against the tailgate looks kind of tight.

I have a Sea Sucker I use for my road bike on the hatch/back glass of sports cars. The only spot on the R1T you could really utilize it would be the roof, or hood and windshield. IMO, both are not ideal…Anyone have any thoughts on a sea sucker bike rack. ?
. So just got contacted by my guide. Also ride a road bike. I was thinking mount the sea sucker to the back window. With the cover retracted. Then securing the back wheel down maybe with a ratchet strap. Thoughts ? ThanksI have a Sea Sucker I use for my road bike on the hatch/back glass of sports cars.
