All,
I love my R1T, but something kinda bugs me and I want to know if I am off my rocker here. Does backing up in your R1T, seem to be a bit jerky and rough based off your throttle inputs? I can't seem to back out of my garage or parking spot smoothly. It just seems too sensitive.

Anyone else experience this?

I would agree with that. Also, I gotta REALLY make sure the stalk press changes to R to D if I want to quickly accelerate forward...

It took a day for me to get used to it. Now it's no problem. I can smoothly come to a complete stop and then back up an extra inch, without issue.

Wow, you both are good. I get into the truck in the morning and it is like I am 16 again and forgot how to drive. 😣

I agree, backing up is a bit sensitive. I think it's a function of regen breaking, because when the battery is full, backing up is smoother.
And backing up other electric cars is much "easier"

You ever hit the accelerator a little harder while backing up? You only do it once. 😂

it has just as much power in reverse. Make sure to bring an extra pair of underwear.

that’s probably the issue, so much power and regen all while driving backwards, in another forum it was discussed to back off the regen when in reverse. Maybe in the future.

Just don't lift your butt off the seat while in reverse to do the old school look back, instant Parking Brake engagement!!!

Yeah, it is still takes a little adaptive right foot magic to make it feel "seamless" when reversing. More than I typically remember early in the morning or later in the day after a hard day of work.
