retire my Lexus?

New to the forum but not to exciting SUV's.
Haven't owned anything high performing like the Jeep Trackhawk, instead i'm more into capable off roads with swag. My LX570 does and has been serving me well. However its an old platform that's in dire need of a drastic refresh. Lexus revealed some full size crossover concept that might mark the end of the LX. Unfortunate, but the R1S could be the perfect successor to my LX. I always liked Rivians focus on adventure vehicles and hoping to find out more about it here.

At $90k a pop to start those Lexus's were too much for such old tech. For comparison the R1T and R1S start around $70k and top out where the LX starts.

If there's one think that should get you to convert it will be the better value for dollar. (y)

Welcome aboard!

Been really unimpressed with Lexus design language on their latest vehicles, namely their huge front grille and oddly styled rear ends. Only exception is the LC, which is still a beautifully crafted sports car. What year is your LX570? Haven't seen great reviews for the 2019 model.

We just got rid of my wife's RX350 for a Mach-E...no looking back...we love it! As far as the Rivian goes, I'm getting rid of my Yukon for it...and gladly! If you were to factor in gas costs (along with crappy mileage) and absurdly expensive Lexus maintenance costs, the Rivian is not only faster, more capable, and everything else we can think of better, it's also going to be far cheaper! It's a win:win.
