revisiting winter solutions for the 21" wheels

Hi all I have gone thru I think every single post on this site regarding tires but still don't have a clear understanding of what those who have the R1T "standard" 21 inch "all seasons". The all seasons aren't really winter tires. Discussions like this thread Winter tire help don't have an answer in this category.
So my question is what did all the R1Ts 21" do last winter?

Pretty sure everyone is doing like me....waiting for a tire company to produce a 21 inch winter tire. If that does not happen by next winter I will be looking for a 20 inch wheel reasonably priced. The price of some 20 inch wheels has come down but I'm waiting for more options. I'm not concerned with looks, just want the safety of a dedicated snow tire. Every aftermarket wheel I have looked at hypes how great their wheel looks. I would buy a steel wheel that looks really ugly just so I could mount a snow tire. For me it's more about safety than looks.

This is my thinking as well. My 21's did OK in the snow last winter but I have actual snow tires on my other car so I used it most of the time when there was fresh snow on the roads. I do like the black Rivian 20's, I may pick up a set of those when the snow comes next winter.
Thank you both, I was worried I was the only one who didn't have a solution. Comforting somehow to not be alone!
I went through the entire winter and Tahoe with my 21 inch all-terrain‘s and they were great. I was worried also but everything performed perfectly especially in snow mode just for what it’s worth.

That's promising...one question do youmean 21 in all season or 20in all terrain?

Sorry - I should have clarified. I have the 21’s all-season. I considered and researched like crazy going with a snow tire but finally just decided to see how things went. I was so impressed that I don’t think I’ll make the switch any time soon. That being said, our conditions were considered ‘heavy’ this winter in Tahoe, meaning slow driving, whereas somebody else who drives in heavy ice conditions may disagree - and probably be right ;) Good luck!

I'm confident that another tire company will soon offer another 21" tire to fit Rivian. It's not a huge market, but it's growing and Pirelli has got to be making a hell of a margin on their $450 tire.
C'mon Michelin, Bridgestone, BFG!
Get in the game!

The best solution is to use a dedicated 20" wheel and a Nokian LT3 (for a variety of reasons), but just my 02!
Thanks all for the input. I am hopeful as well the tire makers will get in the game (especially with igotnuthin's encouragement). I expect with winter tires there will be a hit on range even with 21s but hopefully not much. The option of 20s we debated, the problem is we have like a 2 day drive (hence the 21s) to get to the mountain (aka the target for the romp in rivian ) with our cabin. Low profile cables are probably feasible (and from what I can glean okay to use on the R1T) on arrival but going from 21s to 20s on arrival is not.

Btw if you haven't seen this yet, well this makes me hopeful for future winters in the R1T
