I wonder how big these are going to be because based on these images they look massive!

Well, renderings are out of date as actual photos were just published by Car & Driver. It was stated that the vans would be on the same "skateboard" as the Rivain vehicles would bebuilt. So is Rivian getting started producing a several tens of thousands "skateboards?" And from the news of the recent Tesla Battery Day, the even bigger question is, will the battery packs be even close to the new Tesla 4680 battery cell and pack design? That may be a deal breaker for me. Even though I have had a deposit in for 22 months for a R1S, it may be best to get in line for a Cybertruk. Something to chew on!

Personally the R1S checks all my boxes, so I'm waiting for it. It seems that you haven't even decided between a pick up or an SUV, so you should prob cancel your reservation [ 1 less person in front of me 😉]
Interesting that the infotainment still seems to have controls for the passenger seat. I would assume the jump seat is not heated/ventilated (nor would I expect that of the driver seat, for that matter).
@CommodoreAmiga maybe it made more sense on a manufacturing end?
Maybe it’s just prototype software.. I’d expect them to remove those icons from production.

Volvo, for example, uses the same Sensus infotainment system in all their cars. You could have heated seats, ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, or none of it... Same infotainment. But the infotainment system shows you ONLY the options that apply to your config.

I would imagine they'd remove the icons on the finished product. Can't imagine it'd be hard for them to do.
Some video of a camouflaged delivery van doing some testing.

Is it just me or do those tires look tiny on that big long van? :)

Most likely optimized for cheapest cost-per-mile, factoring both efficiency and replacement cost for their estimated payload needs.
Amazon is now testing its electric delivery vans in San Francisco, the company announced Thursday. It's the latest expansion in California of Amazon's custom electric vehicles developed in partnership with start-up Rivian Automotive, which has raised about $8 billion since 2019 from investors.

Amazon plans to have 10,000 of its Rivian vans by 2022. The remaining 90,000 vans are planned to be on roads by 2030.

RJ Scaringe just shared this photo of a bunch of freshly built vans.

Judging from this scale model those prototypes just need some final touches.
The hub cap with blue trim seems to be one of the last things.
