I wonder how long it takes to lower the truck to lowest mode. It would be awesome if it auto lowered on approach for easy entry

Some more info on the drive modes from Autoblog:
  • All-Purpose is the default mode that starts in Standard and drops to Low at freeway speeds to reduce drag.
  • Conserve offers more efficiency by prioritizing the front motors, dropping to Lowest mode while cruising and dialing the AC back.
  • Sport stiffens everything and also drops to Lowest at highway speeds.
  • Off-Road Auto and Rock Crawl start in High and offer Max as an option, but Rock Crawl offers maximum articulation.
  • Off-Road Rally and Drift start at Standard and offer High as an option, but Drift biases torque to the rear and permits more speed differential between front and rear axles.

It would be cool but I'd be worried on how much wear it'd put on the suspension if it did that every time.

Cars and trucks with air today usually have a setting to auto-lower once the doors are all closed and the car is put in "PARK". This is usually a configuration setting, and if suspension is mapped to a FOB, the next time you enter the vehicle the height will auto-adjust based on the driver/FOB once the car is started and all doors are closed. Lowering for parking will be a nice feature for a truck or SUV for easier ingress & egress, and takes just a few seconds.

I guess if you keep it in all-purpose mode, at least when you park it then it shouldn't be an issue climbing in and out.
