”Rivian has hired a professional pest control company, Dietmeier said. All forklifts in the affected area have been quarantined and treated, and other forklifts and tuggers will be treated this weekend as a preventative measure, he said.

So what. This would only be news if vehicles delivered to owners are infested. What's next? roach sightings with police mug shots, published to all major media outlets and amplified by the internet?

Is this a thing in factories? Most people who work construction are exposed to bees, spiders, ants, and other things but I wouldn't shut down a construction project over it.

What this is, is shorts, trolls, clickbait bloggers and/or labor unions attempting to drag a big juicy mark like Rivian through the mud, with an unflattering but inconsequential narrative… and the sheeple who amplify said narrative unwittingly.

As you say, bugs and critters are everywhere. Offices, factories, retail shops, restaurants and even homes. Just because you don’t see them, don’t mean they aren’t there. There are probably billions of insects on this planet for every human.

Anyone who wish to see Rivian well should be selective about what they share and amplify, lest you shoot them and yourselves in the foot.
