How large of a home solar setup would you need to power the Rivian just from the sun? It seems like a setup similar to the Tesla Powerwall with Solar Integration should eventually be available for the R1T and R1S. However, there are specifics to every application and I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly is needed for our vehicles?

You will have to do your own research, but I have a 5.44 kWh system (16 panels) in sunny Arizona. Generally, it generates a little over 30 kWh/day in the summer and 15 kWh/day in the winter. If the 135 kWh battery has a range of 300 mi, then you can travel 2.2 mi for each kWh. If I wanted to offset 50 mi/day in travel in the winter, I would need to generate 22.5 kWh/day (50 / 2.2) at a minimum. Figure out what you want to do, how much you can generate, and how much you can afford and go from there.
