I just had my paint measured by the company that is doing my ceramic (graphene) coating. The paint was measured in about twenty locations. For the most part the paint was adequately thick but far from uniform. Hood was 275 microns on one side and about 200 on the other. Other parts of the body ranged from 110 to 150. There was very different depth on similar panels but opposite side.
I don't know what conclusions I can draw from the lack of uniformity. Maybe this is common, maybe it's not.
On the other hand, I was told that Tesla's paint is terrible, typically about 90 microns thick.
