Rivian WILL support & honor any transfers - for certain conditions - ours being death & was left to me in the will.

Buyer beware, based on the terms of the reservation I see know reason why Rivian would support this. I can see how something willed to a beneficiary would be supported for them to purchase the vehicle but see no reason they would allow it to be sold.
From a company perspective it makes little sense. They would be throwing money away by allowing the transaction.
From a buyer’s perspective, the premium you would pay for the reservation,other than getting it a little sooner, you could pay the new prices and reap the benefits of 800 volt architecture, bidirectional charging, new in-house developed motors and whatever other improvements they would have made.

Don't see any monetary issues for Rivian but, like their price hike on reservation holders being rescinded, it's an ethics question. What is the point in making a reservation if someone who didn't can get ahead of you in line?
Also a contractual one in that all depositors agreed to the terms above and the terms were no selling of the reservations, you buy the vehicle or not.

Monetary issue is the price rollback was for reservation holders pre-March 1st, anyone after that pays the new higher prices. A similarly configured vehicle at new prices is 12k to 16k more expensive. The lower price similar to the rolled back prices are for dual motor versions.
Why would they allow someone not wanting to buy the vehicle pocket any of that money.
I would pay the 10K but only with assurances that the deal is ok with Rivian and that we are not talking a Fall delivery. can you post screenshots showing these reservations are legit?

Forgot about the price increase. The does give Rivian an incentive to stick to the rules we all signed onto when making the reservation, no buying reservations to jump the line.

Honestly, why not just take the vehicles then turn them immediately. You'd probably make way more than $10k per easily given the new pricing structure. Otherwise, get the refund for the preorders and allow someone else the opportunity you apparently don't want. You still get $1000*2 that way....
