Just starting a thread to keep track of rumors or official details on Rivian pricing. It looks like there's a lot of misinformation out there and very little is known exactly.

Right now the official website says the starting price is $69,000 before the Federal Tax rebate. That credit should be $7,500 for either the Rivian R1T truck or R1S SUV. Rebates can be as little as $2,500 but considering its a full EV it should get the full rebate.

That $69,000 price is the starting price for the 2300 mile range version, however, and with a version that will have over 400 miles I expect it will cost considerably more.

To give some perspective, the Tesla Model X starts at considerably more $82,000 for the 75D model. While the 100D is $97,000 and the P100D is a LOT more at $138,000.

Does anyone have info on what the other trims are or what they might cost?
All we know so far is that there will be a 135 kWh battery pack and the 180 kWh battery pack.

I'd be looking at something more than the basic, but not sure if I want to go full-tilt.

Either way, it looks like an R1S will be a bargain compared to a Tesla... and look a LOT better than the Model X!

I like the pricing but think its important to note that even with the differences in pricing between these Rivians and Tesla's, they will be offering completely different experiences. On one end you have sporty electric vehicles and the other as off-roading adventure vehicles that will take you anywhere.
Totally. And the Model X looks terrible. lol
