This in an interesting thread. Given the polarized society we now live in, I’m trying hard to see things through perspectives beyond my own. I’m 55 years old, and have made a conscious decision to decelerate the pace of my living. My priorities have changed, and as such, if I have to wait an hour or two for remote service to get to me, then so be it. I’m not going to get all wound up about it. On the other hand, what I do worry about is getting myself into a situation where it’s life threatening and and I cannot self recover. And I am in those situations fairly often since I do a lot of solo backcountry adventures. So, for me, a full sized spare is an absolute must. And I don’t mind having to pay extra for it since it could be a life or death thing. But I also understand that the majority of Rivian buyers may not be putting themselves in those situations, and therefore are fine with a mobile service or AAA recovery option. If my needs are in the minority, I should not expect the masses to finance my specific need. I’m happy to pay for it.
