A R1T has been spotted at Pacific Motors in Detroit. I wonder what happened to it?
That explains a lot. Salt water can do a lot of damage to electrical components.I believe this is the one I saw that was listed as being damaged by flooding in the recent Florida hurricane and being sold “for parts”. If it is the same one, Rich from RichRebuilds in YouTube was in the sale posting comments section asking whether they would sell it whole.
EDIT: I confirmed that it is the same one listed in the Rivian For Sale by Owner Facebook group. Flood damaged.
They will be parting it out. Pacific Motors in Detroit.I want those wheels! Know if it's an "all or nothing" sell?
No, leave anything tonneau related - it’s quite at home in junkyard! At least grab the crossbars off of it. Maybe the tonneau gear as well.
Is there going to be an auction or is a first come first serve kind of thing? They will be parting it out. Pacific Motors in Detroit.
Most scrap yards buy vehicles from insurance companies to sell the parts. You would need to contact them to get a quote on any parts you are looking for.Is there going to be an auction or is a first come first serve kind of thing?
Thanks for the enlightened response, friend. How many gallons of Diesel fuel does it take to make a battery for this thing? What are you going to do with all the dead batteries? This is NOT the answer.
The most obvious question...How the heck is everyone going to charge the car? LOL California is having black outs now. This is the same as COVID a big LIE
I think they are just going to part it out as they go. I emailed about specific parts and they said that they would get back to me once they started dismantling the car.Is there going to be an auction or is a first come first serve kind of thing?
