That's cool, thanks for posting this. Two takeaways: (1) they really are quick with their software updates, which bodes well for working out kinks as they appear. (2) I'm sure Kyle is right about thermal management issues at high kW, so here's to hoping that they can fix that with SOTA also.

That's 125 KW and that's at the low end of fast charging today. New Teslas will charge to 350 KW for a limited time before they taper.

where are you getting only 125kW from? 500A is 200+ kW on a 400V architecture.

I believe the newer Tesla superchargers push 600A, which is closer to 250kW. I do not believe they actually can do 350 kW on any current car.

You are correct... My bad math. P(kW) = I(A) × V(V) / 1000 So the Rivian is charging at 200Kw.

Tesla Will Make 350 kW Superchargers, Says Elon Musk

The charging speed of electric vehicles is one of the main factors that must be overcome in order to achieve parity with ICE vehicles. Already now, Tesla vehicles can be charged on Superchargers at a high speed, but this is not the limit and the power of 350 kilowatts is not far off, Elon Musk...

As far as I can tell newer Teslas max at 250 kW, do you have a link to a faster charging curve. Here is a link to Model S Plaid, holds 250 kW from 10-30%, pretty awesome - Tesla Model S Plaid Fast Charging Results Amaze: Analysis. Here's a link to M3 charge curve, also excellent - How Fast Does A 2021 Tesla Model 3 Charge? We Find Out.

Good to see improvements for Rivian charging, hopefully they will get the thermal management figured out and higher amperage charging will become more widely available.
