The R1T shows its off-roading capability by climbing Hells Gate out in Moab.
Yeah it went way more smoothly than I would've expected. It really shows off how well the quad motor system works. I hope there's more videos of it tackling Moab.Super impressive climb for a stock set up with standard 20's. Most of the trucks I see crawling up that thing are designated overland or rock crawling machines with modifications. I would imagine with just a touch less air in the rear tires, there would be even better grip for those AT's, but there is a fine line between too little air and keeping the tire on the wheel - esp without beadlocks!
Watching it adjust like that was really cool. It looked almost effortless at certain parts.Coming from seeing some GX 460s and 470's tackle that. I'd say its pretty impressive. I think the weakest point is the wheel/tire setup on that... Most the guys I see do it in the GX group im a part of have 17s or maybe 18's. Articulation of the rear of the R1T is not that great. But its really cool to see the quad-motor basically walk the vehicle into the correct position. No one should say this is a game changer, but it's great to see an R1T tackle something that a lot of Overlander's with experience do... Would I do it? No, not for something this expensive.
