Good to see what Rivian reported get confirmed in tests like this.

How quickly can you accelerate from 0-60 mph?
Depending on your configuration, the R1T and the R1S can accelerate from 0-60 mph in as quick as 3 seconds.
Learn more about the capabilities of the R1T and the R1S.

I mean why do we need 0-60 in 3 second. Ya you need all the utility of the the truck. U can tow u can go off road. Obviously u don't need a snail. But I am buying it not because its fast. I mean part of it plays role. All other drivers will want to race with you. And try to show... Ooooo my car is faster then your truck. Just drive safe.

I own tesla model Y. My 0-60 is like 11 seconds. 😂😂😂. Not car it's me. Others will be standing on red light revving there engines and as soon as it's green they shoot like rocket, just to stop and wait at next red light. 😁😁😁😁

While I agree that the horsepower wars are just ridiculous when a Honda accord can do 0-60 in the mid 5 second range, We have a Model Y and the ability to get away from idiots on the road is just priceless.

I am not in for the stoplight races (most of the time) but i feel that there is a level of safety that come from that power to get you out of sticky situations with trucks and cars that are not paying attention.

Absolutely. As a motorcyclist, I shake my head when people say things like "loud pipes save lives". No. Loud pipes just annoy everyone; but being ALERT, capable, and having the power to get out of situations has saved my life.

It won't matter to most of us but it still is a good measure of what the R1T is capable of.

To me is just means the more everyday things we actually do get that much easier.

Ever been to NY bro? .... just kidding ;)

We need 0-60 in 3 sec to show those ICE driving neanderthals there's a new sheriff in town and his name is EV!!!

I would love nothing better than line up next to a noisy, shaking Challenger and smoke his ass in my family/stock/silent pickup truck then look at him at the next light with a shit eating grin on my face

Of course it would be done safely.....

That 0-60 time will sure help us avoid people rolling coal. Tesla owners go through it enough.
