Cool they are on a dirt road but that is not rock crawling. No way you could (or would want to) rock crawl in a R1T.
also, when they stopped later in the video was having a bunch of wheel spin, looked like it was due to “pogoing”, that is having a hard time keeping the wheels on the ground. probably due to air suspension with limited spring rate compliance, I see it a lot in jeep/MB/LRs with air. Well that and also looked likely were not aired down.

Short wheel base is the key for rock crawling. Very few full sized trucks (approaching none) can make it rock crawling especially without removing the bed. Another big limit of the Rivian for crawling is 37’s on 18’s are considered minimum tire/wheel combo and suspension articulation is critical (why most have solid axles f&r) and air has major limitations. Also no one makes sliders for it and battery pack without sliders coir go very bad very quick.
Most common rock crawling rigs are 2 door wranglers, older SFA cherokee/grandcherokee, 40 series land cruisers, older 4 runners, and FJ cruisers, next most common are short bed Tacos, SFA LR discos, 4 door wranglers, land cruisers, canyon/Colorado.
also rock crawling destroys your rig. I grew up in Tahoe, had a built out 4Runner, have run the rubicon many times. Just like with track cars, don’t run anything you can’t destroy and just walk away from, same goes for crawling.

Agreed 100%... You can definitely TRY taking your Rivian rock crawling, but as I said above, something might break (AKA get destroyed). This is why you see serious MODS on these vehicles, which also makes rock crawlers much LESS capable when it comes to efficiency, comfort, road noise, daily driving, etc.
Most of Moab is pretty easy, the rock is like grippy sandpaper.
