A R1T owner took their R1T off-road to do some rock crawling.
Short wheel base is the key for rock crawling. Very few full sized trucks (approaching none) can make it rock crawling especially without removing the bed. Another big limit of the Rivian for crawling is 37’s on 18’s are considered minimum tire/wheel combo and suspension articulation is critical (why most have solid axles f&r) and air has major limitations. Also no one makes sliders for it and battery pack without sliders coir go very bad very quick. You can rock crawl anything. I mean, we've all seen the VW Bugs out there. Whether or not you break something is another story!
Most of Moab is pretty easy, the rock is like grippy sandpaper.![]()
