I have a strong feeling these are generic since all you really need to match up is the length.I've been thinking of adding them to mine. Looking at the retractable ones. Where did you attach them? Are they generic and just you modified the attachment points?
aftermarket sliders from someone like WKOR or ARB would be way more useful that a cheap running board. This is an off-road beast people. Don’t put mall crawler steps on it!What do you think of the running boards on the R1T?

looking At using retractable running boards on my truck. Like to know if anyone has done this yet. minimal range loss. 1% if that.bumping. Would really like some sort of running board option. I find myself hitting the weather stripping when I get out.
How do you arrive at that conclusion?looking At using retractable running boards on my truck. Like to know if anyone has done this yet. minimal range loss. 1% if that.
Its a guesstiment. Looking at running boards that extend and retract would not have any impact. They would be retracted up tucked into the skateboard. Profile would be much the same as the existing cladding. SO... any impact would the same as the existing cladding, negligible from an aero stand point. Drain from usage would minimal as they open and close when the door unlocks. same as the door handles, puddle lights, etc..How do you arrive at that conclusion?
They can't retract into the skateboard. The frame rails are in the way, and between the rails is the battery pack. There's no free space to add equipment. The running boards would have to be installed outside of this area, so it would hang down further than the existing plates. Its a guesstiment. Would wearing really tall platform shoes fix your access problem?bumping. Would really like some sort of running board option. I find myself hitting the weather stripping when I get out.
The Frame rail bolts could used as the anchor points. They would retract up to the skate board not into it. yes there is the batter pack there,They can't retract into the skateboard. Sure, but it's still going to hang down. It will affect ground clearance and aero. The Frame rail bolts could used as the anchor points. They would retract up to the skate board not into it. yes there is the batter pack there,
Range hit.
