This Amazon delivery van by Rivian has just arrived via airfreight into Auckland Airport in New Zealand, likely for early testing before they finally hit local roads in full Amazon livery for deliveries.

It's there for some sort of testing. Amazon doesn't have any warehouse or delivery operations in New Zealand.
The van arrived in NZ with an R1T and R1S 2 months ago. Both of those have been spotted in Queenstown and at the nearby Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds (the only proving grounds that provide winter testing during the northern hemisphere summer).

Well none at this stage. They'll have to announce they're coming to NZ first.
My ideal configuration would be:
R1T
Adventure Package
Max Pack
Limestone
20" All-Terrain
Black Mountain
I'm not that set on a truck though. If they come out with a station wagon or hatchback before they launch in NZ I'd probably look closely at one of those.

Australia and New Zealand don't get any of the big American trucks. If it comes here the R1T would probably be one of the largest trucks available.
Popular trucks (or 'utes' as they're known as) include the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mazda BT-50, VW Amarok, and Mitsubishi Triton.
There are a couple of businesses that specialize in converting left-hand drive trucks from the US into right-hand drive versions. It's very rare to see one on the road though.
There's one company that say they are willing to convert Rivians: Aussie company to import and convert new electric ute - ACAPMAg
