This Amazon delivery van by Rivian has just arrived via airfreight into Auckland Airport in New Zealand, likely for early testing before they finally hit local roads in full Amazon livery for deliveries.
Welcome @RivianDude! Have you been lucky enough to see any of the test vehicles in person? It's there for some sort of testing. Amazon doesn't have any warehouse or delivery operations in New Zealand.
The van arrived in NZ with an R1T and R1S 2 months ago. Both of those have been spotted in Queenstown and at the nearby Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds (the only proving grounds that provide winter testing during the northern hemisphere summer).
The van can be seen in the first of these images taken at Auckland Airport.

Well none at this stage. They'll have to announce they're coming to NZ first.Which Rivian model are you getting and what options?
Nice spec.Well none at this stage. They'll have to announce they're coming to NZ first.
My ideal configuration would be:
R1T
Adventure Package
Max Pack
Limestone
20" All-Terrain
Black Mountain
I'm not that set on a truck though. If they come out with a station wagon or hatchback before they launch in NZ I'd probably look closely at one of those.
