We developed a cut in our 20” AT tire and our local mobile tire guy got in a new one today
Just learned we need some kind of puck to effect a tire change.
There’s an involved workaround
The puck is only issued to spare tire buyers and we didn’t even know there was an option when we purchased.
Anyone try the workaround or been able to buy this puck?
If I ran the zoo…….

Thanks
another place offers a $120 kit minus puck and jack
The puck could be a 20 minute make on a lathe without the bottom flange, that might add another 20 minutes
Or a piece of bar stock and insert t he e top tongue…….
Anyone care to share the dimensions so our machinist can turn one down tomorrow and not have to wait to get us rolling ?

You can just remove the plastic panels at the jack locations and use a normal lift.

Sorry you have to deal with this. How much of the above technical jargon was in English? For those of us less handy and waiting for our vehicles, is the lesson that we should order the spare?

Not necessariky
If you don’t back up as close to a sharp trailer tongue in your driveway on the second day as we did your tires should go tens of thousands of miles!
If you can spare the $800 and don’t need the mega storage tge tirecwell offers, add the spare.
Our co owner was so appalled that the pesky puck was not included thh h at she laid into them with her school teacher scolding.
That lil’ puck is so simple you can make one in 8th grade shop class or fake it like we will do tomorrow
Looks like a simple piece o’ 2” x 2” cylinder with a 5/8” tongue sticking out the top.
$50 on line won’t break this bank but we wanna get moving now.
