Tesla had to cut prices due to competition (and wanting Model Y to qualify for IRA EV credit). Rivian's only real direct competition is Model X (notice, no price cut) and F-150 Lightning (price increase). I just looked at the F-150 Lightning trims last night, and the XLT with the small battery and some ADAS upgrades is roughly equivalent to R1T with 2-motor and Small Pack, and they are both about the same price, ~$70K. Rivian will reduce prices when competition forces them to. Cybertruck may or may not happen in 2023 (and will certainly not be at the "teaser" price). And Kia EV9 and Hyundai IONIQ 7 aren't until near the end of the year, so I don't see any scenario where Rivian would need to reduce prices until 2024.
