Rivian took to Twitter over the weekend to share pre-production manufacturing of their R1T pickup.
For anyone wondering, we're looking at body-side frames for both front and rear passenger areas.
One of the most obvious indications of this is the gear tunnel cut out.

Yes, nice to see some progress! If I had to guess they're probably for pre-production, full-scale testing, e.g., performance bench-marking, crash testing, possible test drive vehicles, etc.

"To clarify, no, these are not from the @Rivian general assembly line at the Normal plant. That’s still being built. "

That's not surprising and in line with a recent update from the Normal plant manager stating the facility is on schedule to be ready later this year in September. None the less, it's still "reported" progress.

What R99 posted below you confirms it. Hopefully we get to see some of these in-person and not just 10 feet away and 3 feet high up at the typical autoshow.
