Is the bed completely sealed, dry and secure with the tonneau closed?

This has been asked on the forums with no clear answer. Contact Customer Service to see what their take is on it.

That‘s a little worrisome. Without fold-up rear seats the bed is the only option for things that must be kept safe and dry.

Yup, but nothing bulky goes in either. Currently my dog’s crate (and dog) ride in the back of my Ridgeline.

Yeah, I normally flip up the back seat of my truck and throw in the crate. I also do the same with bird carriers. I will have to flip a coin between the R1T and the R1S.

The R1T website is pretty clear that both tonneau cover options are weatherproof and secure.
