Looks like tow hooks. You notice the cover is off for the receiver hitch. There are other threads that show these tow hooks, it looks like they may also hide behind covers on the rear bumper. At least that is the speculation…

You could be right. When I look at this picture of winter testing of the R1T in Normal, everything in this picture is covered on the rear bumper. All we can do is wait!! Can't to do a ride and drive and get the vehicle when the Rivian Guides come a calling!!

Yup. Personally, I'm going to CHROME DELETE that cover immediately with either with paint, vinyl or permanent removal. Wouldn't be at all surprised if that becomes a sought after part (for those that like removable covers on the exterior of their vehicles)... I could see covers mysteriously disappearing.

Hope they lock
