L.A. California. I consider myself to be one of the fortunate ones as I only ordered May, 2021 and got the truck in 13 months. Was willing to flex on my configuration and eventually selected a pre-built truck that apparently was a cancelled order. Per Rivian, being in an area that has service centers ready to go is one of the big factors
In addition, I was one that immediately cancelled my order when Rivian pulled the price hike stunt on everyone. Fortunately, many others did as well. Got my original order restored. Being that I was late to order, I had ordered an Adventure package as the Launch Edition was no longer available when I did order. However, having chosen a truck from inventory, I ended up with a Launch Edition version after all. Because the Launch Edition included a free upgrade on wheels and a couple of other things, my price actually went down by about $1,500 from my configuration, yet got more.
Best part of it though was that the inventory truck had the Forest Edge interior. I was afraid of it at the time I ordered because it was considered to be "green", but, having seen one at the First Mile Event last year, realized it was actually a gray interior. Absolutely LOVE IT. Just an ever so slight tint of green comes through, but only in direct sunlight. Otherwise, it's a gray interior.
