Who's Charger really

For those of you who have opened a Rivian charger, you will notice that it is made by LiteOn and that the model number is a E1-0113-0RV1. There has been discussion about putting a NEMA pigtail on this charger and the answer has been no. Looking at the guts, I don't see any reason why the plug on the bottom of the box can't be removed and a proper NEMA heavy duty 6/8 AWG 50 Amp power cable could not be installed. Just for the heck of it, I did try to contact LiteOn to confirm, but that was impossible.

Never know when you want to move it
Just my preference I guess. If I am not losing any power by having a pigtail, I would rather have the convenience of a plug. Just puzzled why Rivian is so adamant about telling customers that it can't/should not be done. You are just disconnecting the breaker wires and replacing them with correct pigtail wires leading to a male NEMA plug, charger will/does operate the same.
