Dropped the truck off, then we went out of town……. I’ll report back once I’ve picked it up.Did they get it fixed?

Following. Truck is so quiet except for the wind noise driver side a pillar. I’m temped to run a bead of silicone after seeing the blue tape helped.I received my R1T a few weeks ago. My only issue I have is the wind noise coming from the pillar next to the driver. At low speeds there is no noticeable noise. However a wind noise begins to develop around the driver pillar at 55 mph. At 65-70 mph, the noise is sufficient that it can be heard even with the audio on at a fairly high volume. I have checked the seal around the door and the window and everything looks ok. I do not hear the same level of wind noise in the passenger side. Have other owners had this problem? Is there a fix?
I say take it in for service to look at first. Mine had issue around the A-Pillar and they replaced some gaskets as well as the triangle window on driver side door and it made a huge difference.Following. Thanks I’m going to create a repair ticketI say take it in for service to look at first. Mine had issue around the A-Pillar and they replaced some gaskets as well as the triangle window on driver side door and it made a huge difference.
Only point of irritation for me was they didn't tell me they replaced the window verbally and I only noticed this week that they did and now I have to get it re-tinted.
to fix phone key issue : turn on precise location and NFC in phone app and on rivian console as well.Yup, I’ve got it too. Went in for service a couple weeks ago and of course they said “it’s normal”….. I’m beginning to believe Rivian is simply working on the law of averages to determine what is “normal”:Obviously, I’m making up the figures and being overly dramatic, but c’mon Rivian, let’s address these problems please. My “normal” wind noise was fixed today when I put tape over the gap between A-pillar and windshield. So, I suppose my truck will be going back in to service for something they weren’t interested in properly addressing last time
- 90% of R1T’s have wind noise so it’s “normal”.
- 99% of owners are terrified to use the tonneau cover so it must be “normal”.
- 92% of R1T’s have the front end thunk when going over speed bumps so that’s “normal” too.
- 85% owners have an unreliable phone key so it’s absolutely “normal”.
- 2% of owners have received all weather floor mats, so of course it’s “normal” that I’ll never ever receive mine.

Did they get it fixed?
Curious did you try to recalibrate the window?Ok..so I'm presently at 2,412 miles on the R1T. Until today, it was totally quiet. This morning (temp about 45 degrees F), I got to 40 mph and a Godawful noise started on the right side. At first I didn't know what it was and thought the Climate system had gone beserk (rushing, whistling wind). Of course I tickled the window switches to make sure all were closed. No change. The faster I drove the worse it got. I finally figured out it was the either the passenger door seal or the window seal. I cracked open the passenger window and it stopped (except for the wind noise associated with the partially open window). When I got where I was going, I investigated (having rolled the window completely up and down a couple of times while driving). I noted that the window was a good 3/8" short of closing into the top seal and there was the expected shortfall on the front (slanted) seal. Note that the window was not "canted" and appeared to be perfectly lined up...just not closed. I ran it up and down a few more times...no joy. I raised it half way, grasped the top and pulled upward...no movement, and no improvement. This has definitely NOT "been that way since birth"...I've hand washed it a few times and would have noticed (plus, I'm reasonable certain it would leak).
I called Rivian. The guy on the phone had me do a "reset" (left steering wheel button + emergency blinkers) then walked me through a "window recalibration" (who knew?). It did nothing. I now have an appointment (placeholder) at the Austin SC (2-1/2 hrs away) for 2/1/23. Depending on what they think of the diag they collected, it may get downgraded to a mobile service call (I can only hope). Meanwhile, I have a garage, but I'm not going to be able to drive in the rain. I really don't want to seal it up with blue masking tape, but I might...
At the bottom on my original message I mentioned that I tried all the recalibration available to me at the time. The mobile tech came (and fixed it) before the OTA became available.Curious did you try to recalibrate the window?
Try this from the door switch on the offending window, I think the latest OTA allows from the drivers seat for all but several people reported this working at the specific door switch.
[When you pull the window up button there are 2 subtle clicks. He said, pull the button up carefully just to the first click and hold for 5 seconds. Then push the button down for 5 seconds and that should recalibrate the window.]
My truck is fixed today at service center for wind noise and other minor issues. Rivian will replace triangle glass of window.I received my R1T a few weeks ago.
