... that is, if the Koch brothers and their cronies get their way according to this Sierra Club article
"Who Wants to Kill the Electric Car This Time?"

One of the many groups the Koch brothers help fund to fight the EV tax credit have a slogan for EVs - "Built by billionaires, bought by millionaires . . . and subsidized by the rest of us." ... Hmm, they seem to be missing another slogan - "Kill the EV, increase ICE vehicle sales, so the super rich can get even richer."

I'm convinced that it won't impact Rivian negatively. People will pay when there's enough value.

I agree, I feel like the people that they're trying to reach with this smear campaign were never going to buy EVs to begin with.

I hope you guys are right. However, from what I've read on many EV forums is that people, who are currently either EV owners and/or pro-EV, are excited about Rivian but not so much on the price. People are trying to stretch their budgets to buy a Rivian EV. $7500 is a lot of money for most, so much so where it would put the purchase of a Rivian EV, and other upcoming EVs manufacturers for that matter, beyond their already stretched budget. I know there are pre-order holders out there this would unfortunately affect and would probably cause them to cancel their order.
