I have a carport, rather than a garage. For several reasons, I'd like to enclose my Rivian charger in a box that can be locked; and is large enough to allow the 24ft of cable to be stored inside.

Has anyone done this. And can you tell me where you acquired the box?
Also, I'm wondering if the box needs to be non metallic; to allow the WiFi connection.

Thanks in advance

I’m sure if you measured your charger with cord wrapped around, you’d find an enclosure rather quickly. (That was ‘evse wall box’ searched on google)

Buy a sheet of starboard and make your own. Stuff is commonly used on boats. Imperious to weather. Cuts, glues and machines much like wood. Non magnetic and non conductive. Not expensive. Comes white and doesn’t need paint or maintenance.
If you want something really strong use G10. But usually comes a weird green . Much harder to work and holds paint poorly but will last for centuries.
