Those cards are going to be relegated to “valet” duty, in my truck. I will be using either my phone or the fob. I want to walk up and it unlocks. Get in and I can go. Walk away and it locks. The keycard is too manual for normal use, imo. It’s a valet/backup option.
x2

I don't see us using it beyond delivery day or when we run into other issues.
A smart watch will be my main way. How about everyone else?

When I asked Rivian CS they said you could pair an iPhone as a key but not an Apple Watch.

Have you gotten different information?

I’d love to use my watch as a key.

Download the Rivian R1T Owner's Manual Guide here. It's available as a PDF and covers: Access/Safety/Climate, Audio and Phone, Driving, Charging, Storage and Security, Camping and Off-Road, Service and Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Help, Legal and Reference, and Customer Service information.
I would like to see an addendum to the guide that contains:

1) more information regarding what to expect during use in specific air temperatures. Range decline at 32 degrees F, 0 degrees F, - 20 degrees F, for example.
2) acceleration decline with different levels of charge. We all know 0-60 in 3.0 to 3.1 sec with 100% charge, but how about 50% charge and 20 % charge?
3) For battery longevity, comparison of charging slightly above 70% ( as new update allows) or dipping slightly under 20 % battery. 70% vs 85% charge degradation ?
4) What has Rivian testing shown to be the degradation from fast DC chargers vs Level 2 ?
5) How much does using max acceleration cause heat that degrades the battery. Does continuous spirited driving create enough battery heat to degrade the battery significantly ? Do I dare drive through a road course as fast as I can for 1 minute? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? What should I be thinking? ( I have come from owning Porsches for my last 7 cars and enjoy the driving dynamics of the R1T.)

Rivian's battery technology is better than most. We only have studies done on low tech EV's such as Nissan Leaf. Certainly, Rivian has most of the above data from their own testing. Could they share more of what they know to allow owners to make more educated guesses as how to best use their amazing product? Right now, there is too much guessing and comparison with other vehicles and very little hard data to support it all.
