I initially added my R1S to my progressive policy but it doubled my three car policy. I quoted with Rivian insurance (Nationwide) and the policy is significantly less with same or better coverage including OEM parts. I moved my cars but left other policies with progressive.

I went with Rivian / Nationwide insurance for a number of reasons. Windshield repairs are covered ( big problem with evs in general ) and the main reason is for repairs from a Rivian certified center and major reason is if my Rivian is totaled, they put you in the front of a line for a new one.

In CA. I was just denied adding the R1S to my esurance policy, with which I had been very happy. "Vehicle is too high end."
WTF. Now I have to dig around. Homeowners and earthquake with Safeco, maybe they'll give me a quote.

Anyone here in CA who is happy with their auto insurance (plus home/earthquake maybe)? Which one you got?

Or should I go the broker route?

What do you guys think?

Rivian does houses as well. Get your bundle discount there.

Disclaimer: I’m not an agent, I don’t make commissions on this, I couldn’t give a shit where you get your insurance. But I am about one month behind you with the same dilemma, same questions.
This is correct.
Rivian is underwritten by Nationwide.

I have my house, both cars (one is not a Rivian, it's a Subaru), and an umbrella policy with Rivian. In my particular case (which VARIES exceptionally person to person, as people have reported exactly the opposite luck), I saved a ton of money on my automotive policy (and got arguably better coverage), increased coverage across the board on my house and added umbrella and kept the same price on that side of the policy.

I just switched all our insurance (autos, home, and umbrella) to Cincinnati through Rivian. Rates were substantially cheaper than we were paying with Farmers. Same as @JayO , we have better coverages across the board.

I added my R1S to my progressive policy that had two other cars and it more than doubled. After 6-8 months I moved just the Rivian to Nationwide(Rivian Insurance) and saved ~1k a year. It is still double my other policy with more cars.

We use Pure for home and auto insurance. They have been EXCELLENT to work with. Unfortunately 2 rear-end incidents within 6 months or so of one another (and 1 in the R1S which we are still working through!), and everyone we have interacted with has been awesome and super helpful. They are very customer-focused and really work with you to be sure you are satisfied. I highly recommend them.
Do you have any contact info for them? I don't know if I've heard of them.
