SO. . . somewhere between 40-65% of this data is now wrong because of uncommunicated delays. I'm not the best with charts like that but is there a way to show the updated delivery windows (when we know more) on this same picture?

I'm in the May/June and about to pass out from holding my breath and crossing my fingers for an update! LOL!

 

Per CS today, my R1S is to arrive 2nd half of 2023. My order went in late Dec 2021.

 

Ordered mine 4/1/22 expected delivery god willing before I die. Lol. It’s actually ok because 1. I hope they make the max battery pack available again in the configuration and 2. I want to wait and see peoples real reviews and thoughts on build quality. I sold my Tesla S Plaid because I just couldn’t stand to pay what I was paying for that type of build quality and material. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ordered R1T August 2019, non-LE, SoCal. Delivery window July-Sept 2022. Changed to an R1S March 2022. Waiting for price correction email to see if they also update my delivery window.

 

R1S LE. May-June. Last updated was in November and then nothing so I am not sure it is happening.

 

Ordered 4/4/21. Delivery expected first half of 2023

 

Pre-order May 2020 and presently have an R1T Max configured that is projected to deliver in the first half of 2023. I plan to revise my order to an R1S Longer Range (there apparently will not be a Max version) when the configurator allows that, perhaps by the summer. I anticipate that delivery of that model will be sometime in early 2025.

Well so far it’s spec’d as a red exterior/green interior Adventure package with the 21” on road wheels. No camp kitchen or tent or gear tunnel shuttle. No underbody reinforcements or full size spare tire yet. Might add those at ordering but for now it’s basically the adventure pack with colors chosen and that’s it.

 

I have a December 2020 reservation date for an R1T. I live in Memphis, TN and my window for now is July-September of 2022.

Correction for me: reservation November 2018, not 2017

 

I think for R1S deliveries, its actually better to wait longer. Most of the testing and production has focused on the R1T. Now Rivian seems to be focused on production ramp up and I'm sure the Amazon Van is also taking significant resources. Which leads me to be concerned about the quality of the R1S. Not so much the battery/motors but other issues. Maybe its a simpler vehicle since it has no gear tunnel or powered tonneau, but still would rather wait.

Really want to drive one preferably before committing to trading in my Cayenne GTS which I love. Don't want to trade in the GTS for the approximate $4k sales tax credit in Indiana and end up not liking the R1S during the first week "test drive" during ownership. Either way, very excited.

 

I did not get an email from Rivian... Pre-order date Sept 14, 2019. Do you need to configure R1S before they contact you? I didn't want to configure before:
1. I saw the interior and exterior colors in person
2. Max pack battery was available.
Hmm.

 

Question - how did you pre-order without configuring your vehicle?

 

With my mid Nov 2020 preorder, I got July-September 2022 time frame for my R1S LE delivery in central Florida... or by that time, Rivian will allow pick-up at Normal factory for a full Rivian experience.
