@CommodoreAmiga You should also keep in mind that EVs tend to have more passenger space because it has less parts underneath. So exterior may be misleading. In any case, I agree with @Heyvernsky that we only will know for sure after a test drive or at least some more YouTube reviews.

You might want to wait until you can sit in one
There have been very few people who have
Maybe reach out to people who have
There was a person on YouTube that was 6'3" or something like that and he said he was very comfortable
But yeah I don't think this is a giant cabin

One thing to note - go look at other EVs. I've noticed in nearly all of them there's a lot more room lower in the cab than you'd think. The floor sits closer to the underbody and the seats tend to sit lower down as well, so while it may look like there's the same amount of headroom you might find there's another 6" just from seat and floor positioning.

The obvious guess is CA, but it really looks a lot like I-80 or 215 heading east in SLC with the Wasatch in the distance. Can't make out the license plates though.
I agree the background looks like the SLC area, but the plates are CA. Bummer for me though, because I would go for a few drives today to try to see it in the wild if it were around Salt Lake.

Post #9 updated with the Jeep Gladiator added to the mix as well as a dimension chart for comparison sake. Overall the Jeep is very close in size, all others with similar dimensions to the R1T have been highlighted.

@FirstStateR1T you got the F-150 dimensions wrong I think. The short bed length should be 232.9" not 243". Check here: https://media.ford.com/content/dam/...ontent/dam/fordmedia/North America/US/product/2020/f150/2020-F150-TechSpecs.pdf

@CommodoreAmiga - The R1T is a full-size truck dimension for everything but the bed. Comparison:
  • F-150: The difference in length is 232-218=14 but the difference in bed size is 66-55=11. So besides the bed the difference is only 3".
  • Chevy: The difference in length is 232-218=14 but the difference in bed size is 70-55=15. So besides the bed the R1T is 1" bigger.
  • RAM: The difference in length is 233-218=15 but the difference in bed size is 67-55=12. So besides the bed the difference is only 3".
  • Tundra: The difference in length is 229-218=11 but the difference in bed size is 65-55=10. So besides the bed the difference is only 1".
Hope this helps!

Whipped this one up, grabbed the best sideview images I could find. Verified scale and dimensions in my AutoCAD. Enjoy!!!

Thanks, bed will work for what we need in R1T, especially since we'll have that great Frunk space and gear tunnel - turns out more practical than a regular truck.

Perhaps... I'm seeing 231.9" from the chart you referenced.

Yeah, that is right. It was my typo.

And just to add to the discussion. I expect the R1T to have actually more cabin space than full size trucks given that exterior dimensions are so close (besides the bed) and EVs tend to be more spacious.

100% agree on the interior cabin space feeling roomy, no driveshaft tunnel and typically flatter floors. Only time will tell...

? My Sierra had a flat floor in the 2nd row. Couldn’t tell in the first row because of the large center console, but you could store a backpack plus more in the cubby.

It makes sense. You may also be lucky to have an experience center close to you. It’s best to see it by yourself!

I will wait and see what the first reviewers say about it's size. If it's too small, I'll cancel my deposit and get something else.
