A Rivian center has been spotted in New Jersey.

Rivian posted to Twitter where some new Service Center locations can be found: Brooklyn, N.Y.; Bellevue, Wash.; Normal, Ill.; and San Francisco and El Segundo, Calif.

They also included these comments in the Twitter thread on what to expect.

• While most repairs can be done by our Mobile Service vans right at your home or office, we can also pick up and bring your vehicle to a Rivian Service Center and return it to you, all with a flexible loaner program.
• Service Centers are also where our teams will prep your Rivian for delivery and install accessories.
• As production of the R1T and R1S ramps up, so, too, will our network of Service Centers ready to provide the outstanding customer experience that goes with our vehicles.
• We are opening locations across the country this year, with many more coming online in 2022.

From the outside, these don't come off as service centers.

I was expecting a more interesting design with Rivian being an adventure automotive brand.

The only difference I see is the two Jeep’s and rocks. The rocks/landscaping are usually the last phase in a construction project, so no surprise the very-much-under-construction rivian properties don’t have any. And there are no vehicles yet. Also, yet another instance where people erroneously think “rock crawling” is the only kind of off-roading or adventuring.

I just thought that Rivian could make these service centers look a bit more interesting.

In these photos we also get a good first look at the charging stations they have for us. But it looks quite bland compared to chargers from others brands.

My guess is that the charging stations at the service centers could be scaled back versions of what will actually exist out in the wild, but TBD i suppose.

Here's some info on some of Rivian's planned service center locations in Houston, Kansas, and Miami.

The center in Houston is expected to be completed by December 1, 2021

The center in Olathe, Kansas started construction on September 1st.

The center in Miami started constuction on September 1st as well.
